HITACHI CASSETTE DECK D-2200M

Power Supply

Increased power consumption by new boards forced me to redesign Power Supply in this Cassette Deck .

Here is the Old Power Supply board, overheated and repaired many times board .

The new more efficient and powerful board was installed in the same place. Large Capacitors made good filtration and power peak overhead. Big Heatsinks for Integrated Power Regulators and Transistors are preventing any overheating of this elements and providing stabile and clean voltage to all circuits.

This Deck looks more like Amplifier inside then Cassette Recorder but all this upgrades were necessary to bring this machine to live again.

That was good practice for hobbyist like me. I did not need just this deck to recover to play my cassettes. I had new TEAC Cassette Recorder and 2 Nakamichi decks at that time. It was just a challenge and fun.

Up to this point 70% of electronics was already replaced with my boards, so why not to go further and add something special?

In 1996 Analog Devices introduced new noise reduction Chip SSM2000 and I was able to obtain that chip and implement it into this deck.
