Listening Impression

The sound absolutely amazed me after that amplifier was built and tuned up from day one. There is no any kind of noise or ripple from AC power. This is a perfect amplifier for good Headphones. I use one of the best headphones Sennheiser HD600. Extremely detailed, transparent non fatiguing sound with good bass and clear highs, this is simplest description of performance of that amplifier. It has very natural soundstage. Total output power of this Amp is limited by Single Ended design using one Triode per channel, but total sounding impression on good quality, efficient speakers is great. It feels like ten times more powerful Amp performing on higher setting, not just 2x9W Amp.

The VT-1SE was equipped with "Magic Eye" power/VU meter indicators with 6F86 tubes. It helps to prevent to overdrive the Amp and creating too much harmonic distortion. Also it gives to this modern "old fashion" Amp a cool look.
